But (in my opinion) there is a faster/easier way to accomplish the same.
login to your PI, open a terminal and type following command :
sudo apt-get install xrdp
This will install the rdp services on your PI.
you only need to do this once, it will automatically starts next time you boot the PI
type ifconfig in the terminal to know the ip adress of your PI (you need this later)

reboot the PI.
Then, on your Windows PC, just use your remote desktop from Windows (Windows logo + R, type mstsc and hit the return key)
type the ip of your PI to connect to and provide the id/password (default this is pi/raspberry)
et voila, you have a remote connection !
You can also save the RDP to your desktop so next time you want to connect, just to click the shortcut on your desktop.
note : you can make your IP static for easier use (http://www.vbib.be/i...tic-ip-address/) of RDP
Greetzzzzz
