I know there is a "how-to" about connection remotely to your PI via VNC (http://www.vbib.be/i...p-a-vnc-server/) from your windows desktop.

But (in my opinion) there is a faster/easier way to accomplish the same.

login to your PI, open a terminal and type following command :

sudo apt-get install xrdp

This will install the rdp services on your PI.
you only need to do this once, it will automatically starts next time you boot the PI

type ifconfig in the terminal to know the ip adress of your PI (you need this later)

reboot the PI.

Then, on your Windows PC, just use your remote desktop from Windows (Windows logo + R, type mstsc and hit the return key)
type the ip of your PI to connect to and provide the id/password (default this is pi/raspberry)

et voila, you have a remote connection !
You can also save the RDP to your desktop so next time you want to connect, just to click the shortcut on your desktop.

note : you can make your IP static for easier use (http://www.vbib.be/i...tic-ip-address/) of RDP

Nice one.
Just a litle hint.
Some programs will not be accepted to be installed if you are no root user.
So if you use the discription of RedThread but login with root/raspberry you have all the privileges.

The setup is much easier than tightvnc, but then I lost my keyboard layout. Not so useful to be typing qwerty with an azerty.

In tightvnc the keyboard is good. So either i'll use tightvnc and ensure that it boots, or I get the keyboard mapping working in xrdp ...

Greetings.
